1 Dec 2004 : The Evening's Perfection: Beethoven Triple

Relevant excerpt from the full orchestral review:
...The New Zealand Trio of violinist Justine Cormack, cellist Ashley Brown and pianist Sarah Watkins combining not only ideally with the orchestra but were also wonderfully self-sufficient as a tightly integrated chamber group. One pities the fact that Beethoven never wrote a cello concerto when you hear that songful slow movement opening and how well Brown's cello handled it movingly. The trio's vitality nearly disguised the repititious writing in the finale. Taddei [conductor] did effect a tidy balance and exacting coherence between soloists and orchestra. From all perspectives this performance was the evening's perfection.
